
Model of the Saab 90A-1 prototype. With the Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp 2000 engines and 3 bladed Hamilton Standard ¨Hydromatic¨props. The model has windows, doors and rudders very carefully scribed out on gthe polished fuselage.
The prototype SE-BCA c/n 90-001 made its first flight 46-11-16. Used on a comprehensive demo tour in Europe, Africa, USA and South America. Howard Hughes flew the aircraft November 5th 1949 from his airport at Culver City.
SE-BCA was sold to VASP 50-03 as PP-XEA and re reg PP-SQB 50-10-20, Sold to Olavo Fontoura 50-10 as PT-ARS as a executive aircraft. Stored from 1965/66 at Marte Airfiled, Sao Paulo and srapped there mid 1970.
