
This plaque was given to Einar S. Pedersen for his efforts in connection with navigation over the Artic to make commercial flights possible from Scandinavia to Los Angeles in 1954 and over the North Pole to Tokyo in 1957.
The map on top shows the routing of the flight performed CPH-THU-YEG-LAX.

This piece of Greenland marble is presented to, Einar S. Pedersen, in commemoration of the first airline exploratory flight across the artic performed by Scandinavian Airlines System, 19-20 November 1952.
