Douglas Factory Model, Douglas DC-9, Project, Scale SORRY SOLD

This model was produced by the Douglas Aircraft Model Shop and appeared in 1953. It was the first model with the DC-9 designation. A turboprop aircraft similar to the Lockheed 188 Electra using the same fuselage as the DC-8. The model is shown in Teddy Waddington' s book, McDonnell Douglas DC-9, Great Airliners Volume Four. This model have a removable fin and wings. Different options of fin and wings was used for the evaluation design.
